POLICIES:

Kindergarten students can check out 1 book at a time.

1st through 5th can check out 2 books at a time.

Students in 3rd through 5th may check out 1 magazine in lieu of a book if they wish.

Checkouts are for two weeks.

There is no charge for late books. You just can't check out anything else until late books are returned.

Lost or damaged books carry a $15 fine.  This is a county policy.  This is a fine for losing a book, not a replacement cost for any specific book.  Do not bring in replacement copies.  If you need to pay for a book, you can contact us to have it put on MyPaymentsPlus or come in to pay with cash or check. Exact change please, as we don't have the ability to make change in the Media Center.  The Media Specialist once had to pay this $15 fee due to a new puppy eating one of the borrowed library books. It happens.  We won't be mad but please take care of it so you can comntinue to check out books.  If you pay for a lost book and then later find it, return the book and we will contact our book keeper to begin the process of getting you a refund.

DONATIONS:
We thank you for thinking of us when it comes to book donations, but feel that classroom teachers would benefit more from your generosity. We need to buy specially bound library copies in the media center.

If you still want to contribute to the Media Center, by all means support us through our Scholastic Book Fairs.  Those are our main source of fundraising for the Media Center.

Thank You!
